Minor surgery is a procedure that involves either local anesthesia or none at all, and which is only minimally invasive.

Also called “Lumps & Bumps,” this service saves you a trip to the hospital and gets you home faster. These procedures usually only take a few minutes.

Hamilton Village performs many of the same minor surgical procedures as a typical hospital ER, but conveniently in the safe and sterile environment of our clinic. Our extended hours make it easy to get the minor surgical care you need from wart and skin tag removal, to stitches for minor wounds—and without the inconvenient trip to a hospital or surgery center.

At Hamilton Health, we have the experience to help you with just these types of minor procedures.

How Long Do Minor Surgical Procedures Take?

Most minor surgical procedures performed at Hamilton Health are completed within minutes once it has been set up.

The length of time required depends on the type of procedure performed. Expect to spend about 15 to 30 minutes for most, or up to an hour for more complicated minor procedures after being checked in and placed in a room. For an estimated length of time, contact us for details.

Patient Registrations

In order to register, patients must meet the following criteria:

1. No current family physician, please note that this includes patients whose GP has recently retired or is retiring

2. Have a New Westminster or Richmond, BC address
